Stijn Bannier wins Music Thesis Prize 2008

With his thesis "The gamer as hybrid performer (study New Media and Digital Culture, Utrecht University), Stijn Bannier (IBBT-SMIT-VUB) won the Music Thesis Prize 2008. The jury describes Stijn Banniers writing style as `coming from inside the world of the gamer´ and full with `speed and fluency´.

The Music Thesis Prize is awarded annually by the Music Center of the Netherlands to the author of the best graduation thesis on music in the broadest sense of the word. The winner receives five hundred euro.
