SmartStyle

In this project we will define an innovative new technique to objectively characterize facial structure based on 3D measurements, correlate these measurements with predefined face classes based on the knowledge of style professionals and provide the technology to make automated and objective suggestions. The overall concept is unique, only a few companies can address the problem, and according to the latest state-of-the-art, automated styling advise is yet unknown.

SIMRET

The goal of this project is to overcome the difficulties related to space constraints and MR compatibility of collimator material and detectors. Furthermore, we will develop a hybrid SPECT/MRI demonstrator by integrating a SPECT gradient coil inside an MRI system.

The cause for this project is a common need by the industry partners to realize decentralized data management in cloud-based applications, both in a federated, inter-enterprise setting between tenant and provider, as well as in a distributed, intra-enterprise setting between different services within the organization. This creates a need at the level of new technologies, and at the level of implementing customer projects when deploying these technologies in a realistic way.

In this project we propose to use 3D ultrasound imaging for the assessment of local deformation in soft-tissues. We will optimize image quality and develop image processing techniques which allow acquiring accurate and reproducible strain measurements, suitable for use in a clinical setting.
