Health House will be at the forefront of interactive dissemination and visualization of the impact of technology on the future of health & care. It will be leading in terms of the content it shares as well as the way that content is presented.
To this end, the core of the Health House infrastructure and activities will be a first-in-kind, fully programmable exhibition platform, complemented by a demo room, as well as meeting and event facilities.
Depending on the type of visitors – medical professionals, policy makers, businessmen or students – the experience within Health House will be custom-programmed. Students, for example, can practice their skills using a virtual dissection table, whereas medical professionals can learn about the newest trends.
The Health House exhibitions will convey two types of stories: thematic storylines that present an eye-opener on the future of health and care, as well as company storylines depicting the impact and vision of our partners’ organizations in this rapidly evolving domain.
As such, Health House aims to be a health technology hotspot – both serving as stage and venue, showcasing the future of health & care as a discussion and collaboration starter.
Health House will be located in the Leuven Arenberg Science Park and is co-founded by iMinds, imec, KU Leuven, University Hospitals Leuven, the city of Leuven and the province of Vlaams-Brabant. Professor Bart De Moor (ESAT-STADIUS, KU Leuven) is the driving force behind the project.
Health House is closely linked to the Leuven Mindgate initiative, a brand-new economic collaboration platform in which imec and a number of Leuven-based companies and institutions join forces to position the Leuven region as the number one hotspot for health, technology and creativity in Flanders.
